Mr. Alex Zhou is a Managing Partner at Qiming Venture Partners.
Alex is best known for investing in emerging technologies across artificial intelligence, robotics, and other transformative sectors. His portfolio includes a dozen listed companies and unicorn companies, including Roborock (SHSE:688169), Transwarp (SHSE:688031), UBTech (SEHK:9880), HyperStrong (SHSE:688411), Unisound (SEHK:9678), Yunji Technology (SEHK:2670), Zhipu AI, Biren Technology, StepFun, ROX Motor, Viewtrix Technology, Mech-Mind Robotics, and Axera. He also invested in other high-growth companies, including Chaitin Tech (acquired by Alibaba), IDsManager (acquired by Alibaba), DeepWay, DST, Infinigence AI, AiEdu, and ShengShu Technology.
Before joining Qiming, Alex worked for Kleiner Perkins (KPCB), one of the most prestigious venture capital firms in Silicon Valley. Before beginning his investment career, Alex led HP's (Hewlett-Packard) data storage business unit in China.
Alex has been named to the Forbes China Venture Capital 100 list for multiple consecutive years.
Alex holds an M.B.A. in Finance and Entrepreneurship from Columbia University and a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Harbin Institute of Technology.
Alex is currently serving as a member of the Industry Advisory Committee of the Beijing Stock Exchange. He is also on the management committee of Qiming Venture Partners Rural Revitalization Entrepreneur Support Program, jointly initiated by Qiming Venture Partners and China Foundation for Rural Development, which is a project committed to training and empowering rural industrial entrepreneurs and social enterprise entrepreneurs.
